Incorporating Silence Into PVP.

A brand new corporation Radio Silence Inc. is now recruiting!

Purpose:

To establish silent pvp. That is pvp without Voice Comms. Yes you heard me,
no Voice Comms of any kind.

Build a community of Mature players who uphold strong core values.

My personal circumstances do not allow me to use voice comms. I believe many
players have this issue. For these players there seem to be three options.

1) Be forever doomed to live in highsec corps avoiding meaningful pvp.

2) Try and struggle on in corps using as little voice comms as possible

3) Remain a lone ranger

These "options" are thrown at you by people without the imagination to think outside
the box.

Players have many reasons they avoid Voice Comms:

Their computer is in a family room and voice comms will disturb others
They live with parents who go to bed early
They like to communicate with their families whilst playing eve
They want to listen to music whilst playing Eve
They have a funny voice
They want to conceal their gender
They're private people
They can't understand quickly spoken English
And many more!

All of these are entirely reasonable and valid reasons for not wanting to use voice comms.

We players, have always been told that we will never be able to succeed in meaningful fleet pvp,
without direct Voice Comms.

I have been developing a system of silent communication with which to establish easy, efficient
communication during fleet engagements, coupling the in-game fleet broadcasting system
and various shorthand commands.

Developing this style of pvp requires discipline and training, that too many corps don't bother
to invest in.

Current Activities:

PVP:

We are a part of the anti-piracy movement.
Thrilling pvp is not found from ganking Iterons and popping Swagnates,
We fight those who prey on the weak.

An NRDS Corp at our core we fight to build civilisation into the waste lands that exist in
low and null-sec. We offer people refuge from the lawless territories.

We specialise in small gang pvp and counter-piracy.

We seek to venture into and tap into the resources held in non-concord protected space.

We will become a force to be reckoned with, yet a people of character; civilised and trustworthy.

PVE:

We do not specialise in any particular avenue of isk generation.

But ofcourse outside of concord-protected space:

Exploration will be more profitable,
Wormholes less travelled,
Ratting more lucrative,
Missions more rewarding,
Industry... well where else can you build your capital ships?


Our long term goals:

We seek to establish ourselves in null-security space, be that sovereign-owned or npc.
We seek to establish flourishing activity in parts of the vast empty space that is null-sec.
We seek to establish stable economy and trade in low/null-sec regions.
We seek to build a presence in null-sec as a community, not just some drones.

Our Expectations:

No strict sp minimum - but newbies are not always accepted

A desire to join in a growing community,
A gentlemanly attitude to others,
The belief that moral and ethical values are not lost when the rules of a game do not condemn them,
A mature and inoffensive online presence:
- Strictly NO offensive/abusive language of any kind in corp channels and local
- No smacktalk/trolling

Drama Llamas need not apply.

We at Radio Silence Inc. will prove that even though fools outnumber us, we'll give them a run for
their money.
